FAQs

  • I currently offer Telehealth therapy sessions through a HIPAA compliant online platform called Simple Practice. Prior to our first appointment, I’ll provide you with a link to sign up for this portal, where you can complete your intake forms and gain access to our session.

I am licensed in the state of Massachusetts, due to state regulations, I am only able to meet with residents of MA.

Before your appointment, find a quiet, confidential space, with stable internet connection. You will log on to our portal at the time of your session.

  • October 2023 Update: I am now accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance

February 2024 update: Now accepting Aetna

March 2024: Now accepting United Healthcare

For other insurance plans: I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not bill insurance companies for my services. I can provide monthly “superbills”; you can turn these itemized receipts into your insurance provider for direct reimbursement.

Please note: I will not submit these superbills for you. Also, there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse for my services. I recommend asking your insurance provider about their reimbursement policies for out of network individual psychotherapy services.

  • You can ask them the following questions:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible? How much of my deductible has been met this year?

    • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

    • Do I need authorization from my PCP?

    • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

    • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

  • Electronic payments accepted in the form of all major credit cards, FSA or HSA cards.

Payment details will be collected through the Simple Practice Portal before the start of our intake session. I will keep your card on file. Your payment is due at the time of service - you will be charged after your therapy session has ended.

    • A superbill can be provided upon request if you are seeking OON coverage.

  • Before scheduling a therapy session, I offer a free 15 minute consultation call. This offers us the chance to get to know each other, to see if we will be a good fit. We will discuss the following:

    • I will ask you about why you are seeking therapy

    • I will tell you about myself as a therapist and my approach

    • You can ask me any questions you may have

    • We can discuss fees, scheduling, practice policies and availability etc.

If we’re a good fit, we will get you scheduled for your intake appointment. I will send you the link to my portal, this is where you’ll complete some intake paperwork and schedule your first appointment. We’ll hold our sessions through this portal as well.

In our first appointment I will ask you to share more about yourself, your current situation and what you may be going through, and your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions about your life including your history, your family, and your support network. At the end of the session, we’ll decide on the best plan moving forward

  • I know things happen and life gets in the way sometimes… I will work with you to reschedule during the same week to avoid any fees charged for missed services.

There is a minimum 24 hour notice to make any changes to your scheduled appointment. Missed appointments and cancellations (or rescheduling) occurring less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment will be charged at the full session rate.
